SCHOHAIRIE, N.Y. -- Testimony moved quickly Tuesday in the murder trial of Cal Harris on Tuesday.

The Tioga County man is accused of killing his wife Michele in 2001.

The day started with an examination of phone records from one of Cal Harris' dealerships.

The District Attorney argued they show Harris never made any calls to Michele's phone following her disappearance.

The Tioga County Clerk and a deputy clerk then testified about the couple's divorce paperwork from the summer before Michele was last seen.

Several neighbors of the Harris family were up next, all giving accounts of what they saw the morning of September 12, 2001.

Some said they remembered seeing Michele's van parked outside the fenced driveway of the home.

One neighbor described hearing a car door shut late the night before.

She said at that time, it was rare for anyone to be out on the road at night.

The final witness of the day was an employee of Cal Harris' auto group.

He recalled routinely cleaning Harris' truck inside and out two to three times each week.

On the morning of September 12, he was only able to partially clean the car when Harris took it back.

Harris later returned the truck and asked for the cleaning to continue.

On cross-examination, he said there were no unusual cleaning instructions that day.

Testimony is scheduled to resume in the trial Wednesday morning.
