With St. Patrick's day right around the corner students and alumni of a Staten Island school will pay tribute to their campus during the borough's annual parade.

Members of the St. John Villa Academy school community will march in the parade as a farewell.

The Arochar campus which houses both an elementary and high school will be closing it's doors at the end of the acedemic year because of a lack of personnell and growing maintenance issues.

Organizers said that they are marching to show the love they have for the school and each other.

"We want to march on peace and show the world that we love, we love each other, and that no matter what we're going to get through this; together as islanders, together as friends, and as family," said parent Christina Salcido.

The parade will be on March 4th at 12:30 P-M.
