A test program that makes getting through airport security a little easier is expanding to the area's three major airports.
The Transportation Security Administration says the program allows certain passengers to go through a separate line and, in some cases, keep their shoes and belts on.
Those who sign up for the program are required to give the government personal information ahead of their flight.
However, not everyone is eligible.
Right now only those involved in certain frequent flier programs can participate.
The program is being expanded from seven to 28 airports nationwide and will be available at JFK in March.
It will also be expanded to LaGuardia and Newark by the end of the year.
