The Russian-speaking bandit has struck four times in Queens, twice in Brooklyn, and once on Staten Island.

Sources say he stole about $50,000 between the banks.

"It's news. I've never heard of any trouble in this area, very surprised, and we have about 11 banks all on this strip," said an Astoria resident.

"When we make a withdrawal we have to be very cautious," said another.

"He has a lot of courage to do that, the precinct is very close by," said a third,

He is described as being about 35 years old, approximately 6-feet-5-inches tall, and weighing around 200 pounds.
