Metro-North announced Monday a 100-day plan to improve safety and performance.
Metro-North president Joseph Giuletti presented his plan to Connecticut's transportation commissioner.
He said that Metro-North will re-establish a department to enforce safety policies, as well as create a data analysis unit to identify positive and negative trends.
He also wants to make better programs to test employees on their knowledge of safety operations.
Giuletti promised to hold six meetings to hear from commuters in the next 100 days.
