The Metropolitan Museum of Art is known for its world famous galleries, but on Friday kids will have the run of the place.
"Teens Take The Met" starts at 5 p.m.
It's a free event where teens have exclusive access to the entire facility and even the museum guides are kids.
The event is in response to Schools Chancellor Carmen Farina’s call for expanded out-of-school engagement of teens and tweens with museums and cultural institutions across the city.
There will also be art making, performances and even a dance party.
