A disabled veteran from Staten Island whose van was stolen can now get back on the road.

Michael Sulsona is a Vietnam veteran and a double amputee.

On Friday, someone stole his custom van, which included hand-driving controls.

Police arrested 17-year old Payton Brown for allegedly stealing the van, which was found badly damaged.

The charity "Where to Turn" and a local car dealership banded together to help him pay for a trade in.

Sulsona says he can't thank them enough.

"They were a big help in getting the car, in getting a new car," he said. "They took a trade in, sight unseen and helped me pick out a car and it was just great to have them there."

To find out more about "Where to Turn" or to make a donation you can go to their website at where-to-turn.org.
