A teenager remains in critical condition after being hit Tuesday morning by a car on Staten Island.

Police say the 16-year-old was crossing the street around 7 a.m., when he was struck on Richmond Avenue in Eltingville.

The driver of the car remained at the scene, and no charges have been filed.

The teen was taken to Staten Island University North Hospital.

While his name has not been released, NY1 has learned that he's a junior at St. Joseph by the Sea. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
