There's a new neighbor at the Staten Island Zoo.

Henry Ford, a one-year-old red panda seen above, is getting used to his new surroundings, and is not yet on display to the public.

Red pandas are on the endangered species list and are normally found in the Himalayan Mountains and are used to our cooler temperatures.

"We try and bring endangered species into our zoo so that the community and children can learn about endangered species. And why we do what we do to bring them to the public's attention."

Fewer than 2,500 red pandas are left in the wild.
